This is why I make the point – several times – that your depression is trying to tell you to get better.
The point I was making is that your depression is trying to tell you something is wrong, be that internal or external. Whatever the cause of your depression – yes, you are responsible for getting it treated or finding some way to have a life that’s liveable with it.
As someone who lives with depression every day, these are lessons I’ve come to on my own.
