This doesn't sit right with me. Too much grey area. If these women had the resources they needed, these horrible situations wouldn't have to happen. The state (and their families) failed them.

What if the woman had been r*ped? Mishandled by a relative? These instances are such impossible things to judge.

Abortion conversation aside, if we lived in a society that simply encouraged and normalized adoption, these women (and children) could have had wildly happier endings.
