It’s easy for those with honest eyes to see that America has a narcissism problem. It’s been a well-established fact for decades now. More than any other Western culture, Americans consistently rank higher in narcissistic beliefs and narcissistic behaviors. We’re a nation of delusional people in so many ways.
No, every American doesn’t have an NPD diagnosis. What every American has, however, is a very serious narcissism problem. They live in a country full of fellows who believe they are superior to others simply for existing.
The patterns are easy to see when you remove the rose-tinted glasses. American narcissism is rampant, and it’s easy to see why. The trap of delusion and self-obsession is easy to fall into when you’re raised screaming, “We’re #1!” with your hand over your heart in full salute.
