Q. What is the best way for me to prevent burnout?

A. Burnout occurs whenever we push ourselves too hard without taking enough time to see to our physical and emotional needs. That means taking a step away from all the work and all the responsibilities, to make sure that we’re getting the rest and the nourishment that we need.

Our brains are like computers, and they need a reset from time to time. This is why we have to make sure we establish a solid self-care routine that allows us to step in an take care of ourselves when we’re feeling rundown. When we do this, we can start saying no and taking time to take care of ourselves (so that we can be there for others).
