A. It’s never nice to be ignored by anyone who should love (or at the very least be nice to) us. It’s a rejection — just like any other rejection — and it can upset us and make us doubt ourselves and what we have to offer.

If you’re in this position, it’s important to remember that your in-laws are human. Just like your own parents have hang-ups, they will have hang-ups too.
