Toxic relationships seem to come standard in this instant-gratification, trauma-be-damned society that we live in. Every single one of us have been invested in some partner (at some point) who completely failed to live up to every expectation. Not only this, but they proved to do more harm than good. They damage our health, our wealth, and our self-esteem. Then, these toxic partners disappear into the sunset. Want to stop putting all your time and energy into harmful people and harmful partners? Arm yourself in knowledge, compassion, and the knowledge that you deserve to be loved.

Relationships aren’t one-size-fit-all.

Toxic relationships look different from person to person. For some, that partnership might look more like a traditional one. To others, a toxic partnership is one which is stereotypically abusive. We all view good and bad relationships differently, but toxic relationships are universally disappointing. They prevent us from become better versions of ourselves, and they prevent us from getting what we need out of life (and love).
