Emotional regulation is a crucial part of building a life that is both happy and stable. If you can’t control your emotions, you’ll forever find yourself in a state of reacting (which is no way to live at all). We can’t control other people, or the way they choose to behave, but we can control our emotions and how we relate to other people through them. Stop fighting the endless blowups and chaos, and face up to reality. You need better emotional regulation in order to be happy.
