Addiction destroys more than the addict — it destroys the entire family.
Addiction is a disease that strikes visciously. Once it strikes, it haunts individuals and families alike, and follows us throughout the generations. Unlike other illnesses, addiction is not a disease that affects only the initial victim. When addiction touches one person, it reaches out and touches everyone else in their life. One-by-one their hearts get broken as they watch their loved ones disappear.
